Under the direction of the General Manager, the Master Planner is responsible for all supply planning aspects for manufacturing, including MRP planning, Master Data Accuracy, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, warehousing strategies and supply and demand elements. The Master planner should be able to use a variety of MRP and spreadsheet tools to translate revenue targets into a build plan for our Elk Grove Village plant. In addition, the position requires the creation, implementation and maintenance of forecasting and scheduling tools using MRP and other data sources; Identify and implement improvements to the current planning system to automate the scheduling process; Participate in daily production meetings and monthly capacity meetings; Coordinate build plan with Customer Service, Purchasing, Production and Warehousing; Support ECO/ECN change and cut over planning; Support OTD, Safety Stock levels and other KPI goals for customer satisfaction; Identify and maintain master data and other system settings that promote a more automated process; Provide analysis of adherence to revenue target levels; Support continuous improvement activities that promote increased efficiency and through put. Use Lean Manufacturing Techniques and Problem-Solving Techniques in everyday activities; and Prepare and present planning reports as needed.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Commercial Trade or its foreign educational equivalent. Must also have twenty four (24) months of experience as a Master Planner or a similar position in manufacturing plant schedule planning. Must have experience with MRP and/or ERP systems, capacity planning and lean manufacturing principles.
