Under the direction of Director of Quality, the Group Leader for Quality Control Inspection is responsible for all aspects of product inspection for SigmaTron International, Inc., Elk Grove Village plant.


• Support and coordinate Quality Control Inspectors on day to day inspection function
• Receive and sign for ECO and MCO document; review ECO and MCO in timely manner for changes affecting inspection function. Ensures ECO and MCO documents are filed in appropriate folders
• Manage inspection and packing of product in Final Audit; Lead and direct packers on packing function
• Must be able to perform Quality Control Inspector duties as listed in the Quality Control Inspector Job Description.
• Adheres to company Quality Management System and Environmental, Health and Safety Rules
• Performs other duties as assigned


Education and Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in a machine/manufacturing environment. PCBA assembly experience is a must.
• Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of shop mathematics
• Able to read blue prints and use calipers, micrometers, gage pins
• Able to work within a team
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer usage
• Must have IPC-A-610 Certification

Training Time: Minimum 3 months

Tool, Techniques and Knowledge:
• Must be able to communicate and understand English language both verbally and written;
• Must be focused, detail-orientated and not easily distracted or careless
• Be able to understand component value markings and polarities
• Must be able to understand BOM, visual aid and customer-supplied instruction details
• Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime, when required
• Must be able to have reasonable eyesight (natural or corrected)
• Must be self-starting and also able to understand directions given to them by Group Leaders and Supervisors
• Must be able to reasonably use measurement devices such as calipers, pin gages and other inspection devices as required (Receiving Inspector specifically)
• Must be able to navigate and retrieve info from Tango and iScore computer system; Must be able to enter defect data into the Tango and iScore computer system

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to sit for periods and handle objects. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds.
